Luis Ernesto Derbez
Dr. Luis Ernesto Derbez Bautista (Mexico City, April 1, 1947) is a Mexican politician.
In December 2000, when Vicente Fox was appointed president, Derbez was appointed Minister of Economic Affairs. In January 2003 he became Minister of Foreign Affairs, after Jorge Castañeda resigned.
Derbez was in the race for the position of Secretary General of the Organization of American States for a long time, but retired on April 29, 2005.
Derbez achieved a doctorate in the United States.
