Onicotechnical (from Greek onyx that means nail) literally means nail technician. The term designates the expert expert in the reconstruction and application of artificial nails for pure aesthetic purpose. It is not a medical figure: in the case of serious accidents or health problems, speech technician intervention is not contemplated. The figures for foot care are the podiologist, dermatologist and plastic surgeon. In Italy the figure of the technician has not yet been recognized at national level.
