The American, Canadian and Modern English trillion means something different, namely 1000 × 1000, so a billion (10). The European trillion is therefore 1,000,000 times a trillion. Also in Turkish, the word trilyon does not mean 'trillion' but 'billion'.
In 'American' and Modern English, a trillion is called quintillion (1000 × 1000).
