Day pass (public transport)

A public transit ticket is a transport document that is valid all day in a particular transport region and / or certain connections.

In the Netherlands, day tickets are for sale for both the train and city and regional transport. These cards must be purchased in advance. In some countries, one does not have to pre-choose, but it is subsequently determined whether a day ticket is the most advantageous relative to single trips. This is the case with the German Touch & Travel and London with the fare capping at the Oyster Card.

In Belgium there is no day ticket in Belgium. However, this exists in the urban and regional transport of the Line, the TEC and the HIV. Also see Externe link
