Hua Guofeng


Hua Guofeng is Su Zhu's pseudonym. Hua Guofeng (Jiaxiang: Shanxi, 山西 交 城县, Shanxi, February 16, 1921 - Beijing, August 20, 2008) was elected by Mao Zedong as successor for the positions of leader of the Chinese Communist Party and leader of the People's Republic of China. After the death of Zhou Enlai in 1976, Hua became prime minister of People's Republic of China. Months later, Mao died. Hua followed Mao, to amaze Mao's widow Jiang Qing and the other members of what became known as the Gang of Four. He terminated the Cultural Revolution and broke the power of the Gang of Four. After a few years, Deng Xiaoping forced him to retire.

Hua has previously participated in the Second Chinese-Japanese War and Long Mars.

Hua was married to Han Zhijun and they had three children together.
