LYRA

LYRA (Lyman Alpha Radiometer) is a solar radiometer with four ultraviolet tires, chosen for their relevance to solar physics, aeronomy and space weather. He is part of the PROBA2 mission and was designed by the Royal Observatory of Belgium.

Lyra uses bandgap detectors based on diamond. Diamond sensors make the instrument resistant to the effects of the radiation that PROBA2 is likely to encounter.

PROBA2 keeps track of the stability and traceability of the synchrotron source standard. This way, possible degradation of the detectors and filters can be noted. Externe link
