Van der Klooster was a farmer at Brouwershaven and active in the resistance. He took part in the resistance from his reformed belief.
He was involved in the resistance organization "Rural Organization for Deputies" (the L.O.). Arrest and execution
In the night of December 6, 1944, he was arrested by the Germans with an attempt to cross over 16 people from the occupied Schouwen-Duiveland with a mussel cotter with English commands to the liberated North Beveland.
On December 10, 1944 Van der Klooster was suspended with nine other resistance fighters at Renesse. They are called the Renesse ten.
The parents of the executed M.P.M. Van der Klooster had to leave their farm. In Brouwershaven the M.P.M. called Van der Kloosterstraat to him.
