My Little Pony is a toy line of pastel colored toy ponies made and commercialized by Hasbro from the 80's. Each pony has its own typical features, such as color and symbols, to which they are named.
The toy line was introduced in 1981 as "My Pretty Pony". In 1983, smaller ponies were made under the name "My Little Pony". The line gave rise to an animation movie My Little Pony in 1986 and the animation series My Little Pony from 1986 to 1987. They all played in the same fictional world, "Dream Valley". In 1992, the series of My Little Pony Tales, where the ponies were humanized and lived in a human environment, appeared. In 2010, the series My Little Pony appeared: Friendship is enchanting.
