Christien Brinkgreve


Christine Dorothea Antoinette (Christien) Brinkgreve (Amsterdam, August 8, 1949) is a Dutch professor of sociology at Utrecht University and a teacher at the Academia Vitae in Deventer. She is also a publicist. biography

Brinkgreve, a daughter of the sculptor Geurt Brinkgreve and Sjuwke Kunst, studied sociology at the University of Amsterdam, where she graduated in 1984 on a dissertation on the history of psychoanalysis in the Netherlands. From 1987 to 1991 she was a professor of women's studies at the University of Nijmegen. She was also editor of the Amsterdam Sociological Magazine.
