Christine Dorothea Antoinette (Christien) Brinkgreve (Amsterdam, August 8, 1949) is a Dutch professor of sociology at Utrecht University and a teacher at the Academia Vitae in Deventer. She is also a publicist. biography
Brinkgreve, a daughter of the sculptor Geurt Brinkgreve and Sjuwke Kunst, studied sociology at the University of Amsterdam, where she graduated in 1984 on a dissertation on the history of psychoanalysis in the Netherlands. From 1987 to 1991 she was a professor of women's studies at the University of Nijmegen. She was also editor of the Amsterdam Sociological Magazine.
Important topics in her work are the intimate relationships between men and women and parents and children and dealing with emotions. Well-known works of her hand are The Woman and the Bathwater (1992), From Home (1997) (with late Bram van Stolk) and Early May, Late Adult (2004).
Brinkgreve is married to the former broadcasting director, journalist and actor Arend Jan Heerma van Voss and has two children, Daan and Thomas Heerma van Voss, both with him. Work (selection)
