Paul van Liempt


Paul van Liempt (March 14, 1962) is a Dutch journalist.

He studied cultural anthropology and journalism. After graduating, he went to work at the Parool. Then he wrote for Vrij Nederland, Het Financiële Dagblad and Volkskrant Magazine. He was the presenter of the morning program Paul van Liempt for BNR for 8 years. Starting September 7, 2015, he works for RTL Z, where he presented the daily talk show Van Liempt Live. Since early September 2016 he has made the weekly program Van Liempt 1-op1. Portable one-hour interviews with taste-makers from the world of business, sports, culture and science. Since November 1, 2016, he presents a program of company acquisitions on BNR.

He wrote the books about television, a good couple (2005) and the story behind the miljonair fair (2007). And the book Dutch dream (2008) on education in the Netherlands. "Together with former BNR colleague Paul van Gessel, Van Liempt wrote the book Bye bye babyboomers (2010). In September 2015, "No subject for scared people" appeared that he wrote with Bernard Hammelburg.
