Romulus (Romulus: 469-479; ... - ...) was a Roman nobleman, a member of the House of Lions. Biography modifies wikitesto

Romulus was the son of Emperor West Antemio and Elia Marcia Eufemia, daughter of Emperor Oriente Marciano. He remained in Constantinople at the court of Leo I, while his father reigned briefly (469-472) in Italy and Gallia, attempting unsuccessfully to restore imperial power in the western provinces.

In 479 Romulus and his brothers, Flavio Marciano and Procopio Antemio, rebelled against the new emperor of the East, Zenone, as Marciano, having married daughter of Leo I, bowed right over the imperial throne. After some initial victories, the revolt was seduced by General Illo: Marciano was captured, while Procopio and Romulus fled to Italy. Bibliografiamodifica wikitesto
