Bert Vuijsje (Amsterdam, April 13, 1942) is a Dutch journalist and writer.
Vuijsje began his journalistic career in 1967 as a reporter of Het Parool. Between 1969 and 1981 he worked in various functions at The Hague Post. After that he was editor-in-chief of Intermagazine and deputy editor-in-chief of the Volkskrant (1985-1996). From 1996 to 2000, Vuijsje was chief editor of HP / De Tijd.
Vuijsje has been writing about jazz since 1962, among other things, is the columnist of the Jazzism magazine and was (co-) presenter of the NPS radio programs Jazzkotabel and Bebop Business.
He is vice-chairman of the Dutch Jazz Archive Foundation, editor of Jazz Bulletin (quarterly magazine of the NJA), and co-producer of the Jazz at the Concertgebouw CD series, which releases the NJA and awarded in 2012 with an Edison for the best historical jazz production.
In 2005, he received the Pierre Bayle award for music criticism, and in 2013 he received the Jazz Media Award for special jazz journalistic performance. family
