Kross grew up in Rotterdam as son of Czech singer Ilona Chechova and journalist and Surinamist writer Rudi Kross. Career

At the age of fourteen Kross began his musical career. First as news reader and dj, later as music director at Rotterdam's pirate radio broadcaster Radio Atlantis.
