Francesco Pellegrino (Cortale, 1910 - Rome, 1975) was an Italian composer, music educator and conductor.
Lifecycle Pellegrino studied at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome, achieving his highest diplomas in 1938. After that, he was the director of a military music chapter until 1940. From 1941 to 1963 he was a professor at his Alma Mater, the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome. In 1964 he was appointed as the inspector for the central musical education by the Ministry of Education. Pellegrino is the author of various methods for wind instruments. As a composer he wrote mainly working for harmonic orchestra. The very popular marches have a melody richness and a mature dynamics.
