Frederiksberg is a subway station of Copenhagen underground in the municipality of Frederiksberg.

The metro station was opened on May 29, 2003, but from 1847 to 1998 there was a (above ground) railway station at this location.

History railway station The former train station

Frederiksberg Station was opened on June 26, 1847, on the Copenhagen - Korsør railway line and then on Frederiksberg - Frederikssund. From 1934 the station was part of the S-train network. The station ended on June 20, 1998 together with the route between Frederiksberg and Vanløse which was converted into metro line. The new subway station was submerged and connected with a new tunnel to the center of Copenhagen. The old station building was retained during reconstruction but is not part of the metro station.
