Jesper Bodilsen in 2014
Jesper Bodilsen (Haslev, January 5, 1970 is a Danish jazz bassist.
Bodilsen started playing double bass when he was sixteen. He went to the conservatory in Aarhus, where he studied at Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen. He graduated in 1997 and since then he also taught He played on more than one hundred albums, including Ed Thigpen. Bodilsen also worked with Enrico Rava, Gino Vanelli and Dino Saluzzi. He also made records for himself: he recorded a duo with George Colliogan and two albums with his trio (with Italian pianist Stefano Bollani and drummer Morten Lund).
