Jumping the string

In the practice of hunting with archery there are some elements that make this activity particularly difficult. One of these is the "jumping the string". It is known that prey animals, especially ungulates, are very responsive to sudden noises. The dry noise generated by an arc induces an instinctive escape reaction in the animal, so that the prey exits the arrow trajectory before it reaches the target. There are some ways to alleviate this phenomenon. It is possible to use acoustic silencers, that is, the rubber fringes to be applied to the rope near the bushes. Or the "brush button", rubber balls in contact with the bushes. The silencers attenuate the elasticity of the rope when the arrow is pulled, slowing down its speed. Another system, used together with the silencers, is to try to reduce as much as possible the arched-prey distance. In this regard, it would be good to never attempt to shoot at distances greater than 30 meters.
