The master enterprise is a closed-end (or concentrated) business model. It is characterized by a small number of people, often tied to family relationships, if not even to a single person, in small unit cases. Owners themselves exercise the supreme power of guidance and government, often taking operational decisions: in this sense, they represent the economic entity and together perform managerial functions. The master business, which can be small, medium, and large, has a structured and unified structure, since it is mostly connaturated with the entrepreneur, who is the only individual in command. As far as stability is concerned, it is high, as usually the one who owns it keeps it for a long time and does not intend to alienate it, nor find any members (in which case the company will have a board of directors). The master enterprise has as its strengths first the ability to sacrifice, since the entrepreneur considers the enterprise as part of itself and is also willing to lose in order to keep it alive, secondly, creativity, and ultimately the ability to be able to seize the opportunities very quickly. But, on the other hand, it suffers from "nanism" in the sense that it tends to remain relatively small in size, since the entrepreneur often does not want partners and this prevents him from attracting not only financial resources (as regards the size of the assets but also human and qualified (that is, possessing appropriate skills and capabilities to manage development), thus leading to both financial and growth and development difficulties. In the master business, the key figure is the entrepreneur, the creative subject and very attentive to the quality. Bibliografiamodifica wikitesto
