Nacho's
Nachos are a dish from the Tex-Mex kitchen. They are eaten as a main course and as a snack.
The dish consists of tortilla chips, covered with jalapeño and over cheese, sometimes meat (mostly minced). Other ingredients are also available, such as onions, olives, chorizo, corn and beans. The dish is then heated in the pan or oven.
The dish was first prepared by the Mexican cook Ignacio Anaya ('Nacho') for the first time in 1943 and served as 'Nacho's Especiales', which are tortillas, jalapeño and cheese. Therefore, they thank their name. > International Day of the Nacho
In the early nineties, the "International Day of the Nacho" came to commemorate the invention. This day will take place on 21 October and you will eat a lot of nachos.
