The subway station's platform
Minhang Development Zone is a Shanghai subway station. The station is the southern end of the Xinmin line (5) in the satellite city of Minhang. The zone is about 3.5 km² and started in 1986. Its location is short on Shanghai's outer ring road, which guarantees a fast connection to the two airports. The arrival of the subway has greatly improved travel to and from the city center.
In the zone there are mainly manufacturing companies of mechanics and electronics and pharmaceutical, beverage and entertainment industries.
