The Grols Jazz Vesteval is an annual music festival in the city of Groenlo, where mainly jazz, blues and big band music are listened to. The festival has been organized since 1987 and takes place outside the open air as well as in ten catering establishments. The name 'Vesteval' is a to the old fortified city of Groenlo, formerly called Grol, where the festival is held in the inner city. The festival is organized by the Stichting Groenlose Jazz Société, and funded by sponsors and donors.

Although it's called the jazz festival, there's usually a range of music bands that play blues, bigband, soul, zydeco or rock-n roll in addition to jazz. With one passepartout, all occasions can be visited. Some artists who once played Westfalen are Piet Noordijk, Greetje Kauffeld, Rita Reys, Rosa King, Rosenberg Trio, Benjamin Herman and Groenbe-based jazz pianist Peter Beets. The festival is always held on the first Friday in September. But in 2012 it will be organized on saturday 1 september. Externe link
