beach High

Strandhogg is a Norwegian-language term that indicates a Viking military tactic, based on the use of spies followed by rapid, commanding commands on the coasts. One of her possible translations is "fight on the sand or the beach."

It was almost exclusively a combat technique of the Norwegian Vikings.

Vikings had already developed a network of spies inserted among the many vicus with which they had business relations. These spies informed them about local costumes, religious holidays, helping them with translations and pointing to places to plunder and people to kidnap and then claim a ransom. It happened that the Vikings also made these incursions against their fellow countrymen. Harald I, known as Harald the Light, forbade the strandhögg in Norwegian territory.
