Cunninghamproject

The Cunningham project seeks divisors of numbers of the form b ± 1 for b = 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12 and high powers of n. The project is named after Allan Joseph Champneys Cunningham (1842-1928), who in 1925 together with H.J. Woodall published the first version of this table. As such, the project is one of the longest-running activities in numerical number theory.

The most recent tabulation of these divisions is found in the e-book "Factorizations of b ± 1, b = 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12 up to high powers" by John Brillhart , DH Lehmer, JL Selfridge, Bryant Tuckerman, and SS Wagstaff, Jr., American Mathematical Society, Providence, Rhode Island, Third Edition, 2002.

The Brent Montgomery Tea Table is an extension of the Cunningham project for 13 & lt; b & lt; 1000.
