Dirk Boest plaster

Dirk Boest Gips (Dordrecht, July 18, 1864 - The Hague, November 11, 1920) was a Dutch sports shooter.

He participated in the Summer Olympics in 1900, where he won the bronze medal on the military gun part with the Dutch team (which consisted of Henrik Sillem, Antoine Bouwens, Solko van den Bergh and Anthony Sweijs). He scored most points for the team.

Long in the official statistics he was registered as Gerardus van Haan or Gerardus van Loon until Ton Bijkerk published an article in 2000 that identifies the shooter's identity.
