Georg Huth


Georg Huth (Krotoschin in Prussian Posen, February 25, 1867 - June 1, 1906) was a German orientalist and explorer.

Huth began his studies in 1885 at the Humboldt University of Berlin, and obtained his doctorate at Leipzig University in 1889. From 1891 he taught at the University of Berlin in Central Asian languages ​​and Buddhism. In 1897 he undertook a trip to Siberia to learn Tootho languages, for which he received a scholarship from the Russian Academy of Sciences in St. Petersburg.
