Kris Gevers (Turnhout, September 15, 1973) is a contemporary Belgian visual artist. His work consists mainly of oil paintings. At the beginning of 2000 he experimented with fiction films. Background
In the early 90's Gevers studies computer science. Then he begins painting, inspired by Rustin, Bacon, Freud, Auerbach, Kossoff, Soutine, and others. He then adopts portraits and self portraits.
Today, the painter has expanded his visual language and searches for the story in painting, a course of Gevers that has been decided in his work since 2007. Externe link
