Michele Robecchi

Michele Robecchi (Scanzorosciate, 1904 - Überlingen, 1944) was an Italian partisan.

Robecchi, residing in Muggiò, worked as an electrician at Breda in Sesto San Giovanni. After September 8, 1943, he formed with some friends a GAP (Patriotic Action Group), distributing propaganda material on resistance between workers and organizing industrial production sabotage for Germany. In March 1944, taking advantage of a chain of strikes that struck all the Italian factories, he took German repression, leading to arrest, detention, and in some cases the deportation of many workers considered rebellious. Robecchi initially escaped and, abandoning Breda, continued his work of resistance until he was arrested in Monza in the fall of that same year.

Initially imprisoned at San Vittore in Milan, he was subsequently transferred to Bolzano, then deported to a concentration camp in Dachau, Germany, where he ended his days.
