My Michael is an original Hebrew novel, written by Israeli writer Amos Oz. The book was published in 1968 by publisher Am Oved, and translated into about 30 languages. The book is also filmed, in Hebrew. The Bertelsmann Publishing House named the book one of the hundred best books of the 20th century.
The book describes the love and marriage of a young woman. The story takes place in the 50's in Jerusalem. It has been possible to investigate the mystery of a Jerusalem girl, and the book follows the nightmares that control her life. In the story, the reader is familiar with the everyday atmosphere of life in Jerusalem and the surrounding cities.
