Rio Torto (Emilia-Romagna)

The Torto rio is a small stream of water flowing in the Bolognese Apennines.

It is born from the slopes of the mountain of Discovery (1273 m), at about 1100 meters above sea level, at the San Giuseppe site in the territory of the municipality of Vernio, in the province of Prato. After a short stroke it enters the province of Bologna, keeping a run north; which came shortly after the massif called the Vecchiette hill, licked and received the tribute of a sulfur source. Its total length, about 3 kilometers, ends in the Brasimone Lake, which, together with the Brasimone stream, is one of the largest immesses.
