Station Trap

Station Piène was a railway station in the French town of Breil-sur-Roya on the Cuneo - Ventimiglia route (Tendaspoor line).

In 1928, the railway line, and at the station Piène, was taken into service. The station was used until 1939; Both in 1940 and in 1944 many bridges were destroyed by war violence. In 1947, France annexed a part of the valley that until then was Italian, which included, among other things, Piène station under French territory. The railway station of Piène, because the Roya's gorge is very narrow, was built over the road, was re-opened, but was no longer taken into use. For the annexation the station was still called Piena.
