Bolivia's most important rivers are Madeira, a far-flung tributary of the Amazon River and 3240 km long, and the Mamore, which joins the Beni forms the same Madeira. The Madera-Mamoré-Grande river system is 4207 km long and is one of the longest rivers in South America and is among the 20 longest rivers in the world. Other major waterways are the Yata, 1060 km long, the Guaporé, the tributary of Mamore, which marks the border between Bolivia and Brazil, its tributaries, Itonomas and Rio Blanco (Bolivia), and another tributary of Mamore, the Rio Grande, all over 1000 km.
