Ettore Ettorri (original name Hector Heathcote) is a cartoon character produced by Terrytoons. His creation is attributed to Eli Bauer. The cartoons featuring this character were broadcast in the United States by NBC television between 1959 and 1963 under the title Hector Heathcote Show and the subtitle "The minute and a Half Man". Hurt is an American patriot and his stories are set at the time of the American Independence War. Ettore is always present at the time of the main historical events of the war: he prepares the horse Paul Revere uses in the famous ride and builds the boat with which George Washington crosses the Potomac River. However, in Ettore no merit is given to his businesses: during each adventure, the narrator says that "history has remembered many great names, but only we know of Ettore." In the following years, the character appears in some cartoons until 1971, then is set aside. In Italy some Ettore Ettorri cartoons were transmitted by RAI in the sixties with the title The Proud Hector. Links externalize the wikitesto
