Comproject by Nico Parlevliet te Mussel (1996)

Nicolaas (Nico) Parlevliet (Katwijk aan Zee, March 4, 1948) is a Dutch visual artist. Life and work

Parlevliet first followed the education as a photographer at the Fotovakschool in The Hague (1969-1974). Then he decided to pursue a degree in visual arts and studied at the Minerva Academy in Groningen. After his studies, Parlevliet established himself as an artist in Dordrecht.

Parlevliet's work was featured at exhibitions at home and abroad, including in Belgium, Germany and England. His work is referred to as so-called interactive art. Change and sensory perception are key concepts. The Textile Museum in Tilburg has his work in the permanent collection.

For the eastern Groningen site of Mussel, he realized the project, a mark of the built-up bowl at the village's roads (see illustration). Bibliography
