C'est pas sorcier (French: It's not a witchcraft) is a French educational television program. The program aims to popularize scientific subjects for youth, in a way that is comparable to the Dutch television program Het Klokhuis. C'est pas sorcier has been broadcast on France 3 since 1993.
In the program, presenters Frédéric Courant and Sabine Quindou are on the field, and encounter scientific questions. The statement is given by presenter Jamy Gourmaud in the studio, often on the basis of experiments and models. The decor suggests that Gourmaud presents from a mobile lab, decorated in a truck's semitrailer. The generic of the program, which shows the moving truck, was recorded in the landscape of the Aubrac plateau. The music comes from the Boogie Body piece, and has been edited by Koka Media.
Broadcasting was also taken by foreign broadcasters. The original French versions also appear in Belgium on RTBF, Switzerland, French-speaking Africa and Canada. In a dozen other countries, the program appears dubbed or with subtitles. Since 2002, more than 400 episodes have been released on video cassettes and DVDs.
In 1999, the program won a 7 d'or for best educational broadcast and was awarded several times with a Prix Roberval.
In September 2011, France decided to make episodes 3 years later. This was poured into a renewed and contemporary format.
