Toergajstraat

The Toergaj Street, Toergajzee or West Siberian Sea was an epicontinental sea east of the Urals, which separated Europe from Asia in the Mesozoic and Palaeo (160 to 30 million years ago). The sea connected the present Caspian Sea to the south with the Arctic Ocean in the north.

The sea caused the land masses of Asia and Europe to be separated for a long time, so that evolution was evident on these continents. One example is the Ceratopsia, Chit Dinosaurs, who were connected in Asia and North America (which was connected to agriculture at the present Bering Street with Asia) but not in Europe.

The name Toergajzee comes from the Toergaj, a river in Kazakhstan.
