Angelo Nijskens


Angelo Nijskens (Hulst, June 1, 1963) is a Dutch former football player and current football coach.

Nijskens started his career as an attacker in youth at HVV '24 and went to KSC Lokeren on his fifteenth where he joined the first team in 1982. In the 1988/89 season he played for Bayer 05 Uerdingen and between 1989 and 1991 for RFC de Liège with which he won the cup of Belgium. In the 1991/92 season Nijskens played for Sporting Charleroi and in the 1992/93 season he again played for Lokeren to decide after his career in 1995 at Alemannia Aachen. He played for Red Star Haasdonk in 1995/96 and after that, Nijskens played for HSV Hoek where he later became a player trainer.

In February 2002 he was fired. Also at KV Kortrijk, SV Oudenaarde and KFC Eeklo, Nijskens had to leave early. In 2008 he trained WS Lauwe, after which he became a scout and youth trainer at Kortrijk. Anno 2012 he trained HSV Hoek and worked in a Ghent media library. Since the end of 2014 he is a trainer at 4th grade SK Berlare.
