The Red Sea Astrarium is a future theme park in Aqaba, Jordan. The theme park, called Star Trek, is designed and built by Rubicon Group Holding in partnership with Paramount Recreation. Apparently, the park will open its doors in 2017. Development
On May 21, 2011, it became known that the Rubicon Group Holding has concluded an agreement with Paramount Pictures regarding the rights to the Star Trek franchise. A few days later, King Abdullah II of Jordan, a major fan of Star Trek, became aware of funds funded by him to fund the park, which reportedly would cost 1.04 billion euros. In addition to attractions, the park will include four 5-star accommodations, a theater, a shopping mall and several restaurants.
