French Frith Kaiser Thompson was an American experimental band consisting of John French, Fred Frith, Henry Kaiser and Richard Thompson. The band was founded in 1987 to record an album, 'Live, Love, Larf & amp; Loaf '. In 1990 a second album came out, 'Invisible Means'.

American musicians Henry Kaiser (guitar) and John French (drummer, Captain Beefheart's Magic Band) joined forces in 1987. They asked Frith and Thompson (guitarist of Fairport Convention) to play and make a record. This album was an eclectic record of all kinds of music, from folk to avant-garderock. There were also some covers, such as' Surfin 'U.S.A.' of the Beach Boys. In 1990, the group reunited in San Francisco for a second series of recordings, mostly composers of the band members. Members
