Honda P50

Honda P50

The Honda P50 is a moped bike with a Honda four-stroke engine.

In June 1966, the Honda P50 was introduced with a specific feature: the engine was placed in the rear wheel, while that novelty was abandoned by many mopeds manufacturers in the late 1950s. In the Netherlands, after a visit by Dutch Honda dealers at the factory in Japan, the P50 was fitted with 19 inch wheels instead of the usual 17 inch wheels permitted outside the Netherlands. The Honda P50 was usually equipped with European parts, which makes it difficult to restore this cargo because the German, Italian, French or Dutch parts are no longer available. The Honda P50 is the first in the series of so-called Little Honda's like the Honda PC50, PS50, Novio and Amigo. However, the P50 was a deviating moped compared to his contemporaries due to the lack of rear suspension and the previously mentioned engine in the rear wheel. It did not become a sales hit and in 1969 the production of the Honda P50 stopped.
