Martin Smith

Martinus Fabri was a late middle-aged or early-renaissance composer and memory singer, active around 1400 and possibly connected to The Hague's court. He was probably from the Netherlands. There is hardly any information about him.

Four of his compositions are stored in sources that are neither copied in the Netherlands nor stored. It is about three ballads and one round sauce. Of these four, there are two with French text in the refined, elaborate, man-made style of the ars subtilior. The text is listed for the highest vote only, the rest will probably be instrumental. The other two works are ballads with Dutch text. They have a text listing for all parties. Collected work Discography
