Noel Taylor

Noel Squizzy Taylor is a former drummer of the Australian hardrock band AC / DC. Noel Taylor replaced Colin Burgess, shortly after the legendary concert on New Year's Eve 1973 in Checkers (Sydney). The occupation of AC / DC was at this time: Angus Young (lead guitarist), Malcolm Young (rhythm guitarist), Dave Evans (lead singer) and Neil Smith (bass guitarist). During this time the band had no fixed bass guitarist and drummer.

Colon Burgess, the predecessor of Noel Taylor, was fired because he started on stage after excessive alcohol use. Malcolm Young asked Noel Taylor and Neil Smith whether they wanted to join AC / DC after Malcolm Young had a very successful evening for the lead guitarist of the band Jasper in which Neil Smith and Noel Taylor played. This decided to do after long-term consultation with their lead guitarist.

With this occupation, AC / DC began to appear in a hotel where Noel Taylor and Neil Smith's former band had played more often. They played the songs: Can I Sit Next To You Girl, Rocking In The Parlor and Show Business. In addition, they also played some songs from Chuck Berry. Noel Taylor also had several other performances with AC / DC, including the open air concert in Victoria Park (Sydney). This was a historic moment, because here, Angus Young, on the advice of his sister, was wearing his famous school uniform for the first time. After the concert in Victoria Park, Noel Taylor and Neil Smith were fired again after six weeks at AC / DC. Noel Taylor was replaced by Peter Clack.

After AC / DC, Noel Taylor has been a manager of his family's music store. In addition, he has been active in various bands including: Bobby Dazzler, Speed Limit, The Swinging Sixties and Legends of OL 55. Also see Footnotes
