Pasar Malam Indonesia

Night Market 2012 Eethal

The Pasar Malam Indonesia (Indonesia for Night Market of Indonesia) is an event held in the spring at the Malieveld in The Hague since 2010. The event is organized on the initiative of Habibie, Indonesian ambassador to the Netherlands from 2006-2010, and aims to stimulate relations between the Netherlands and Indonesia, both in cultural, tourism and business. He also took part in the reconciliation between India veterans in the Netherlands and the Republic of Indonesia. He passed away in March 2012, just before the third edition of the Pasar Malam.

The event is held in big tents at the Malieveld. At the headquarters, various companies and organizations, such as ASEAN and Garuda Indonesia, are represented in Pasar Malam Indonesia. Also, parts of Indonesia such as North Celebes and West Java are presented here in stands. In addition, typical Indonesian products are also sold in this hall. In the much larger eethal one can find Indonesian dishes from several providers. Music and dance performances are shown in the cultural pavilion. Trivia

Because the Tong Tong Fair was previously called Pasar Malam or Pasar Malam Besar and held in the same location, there is confusion between the two events. The Tong Tong Fair is in May or June, the Pasar Malam Indonesia is late March and / or early April. Externe link
