Salvatore Pappalardo (Catania, 1817 - Naples, 1884) was an Italian composer.

He began his studies in Catania and continued to them at the Conservatory of Palermo under the direction of Pietro Raimondi.

He taught in the Charity Hospital of Catania until 1845, after moving to Naples, where he was conferred the title of Concealer of Siracusa Count Don Leopoldo of Bourbon. Later, he was a counterpoint teacher at the hotel of the poor of Naples, which he held until his death. His composer activity was mainly directed at the theater. He composed a lot of church music, but even more interesting is his chamber music, especially the collection of melodies for singing and piano and a group of string instrument quartets. Both the melodies and the quartet were performed very well in Germany. Operemodifica wikitesto The Corsaro, July 5, 1846 - Collection Francesco Paolo Frontini
