Braam (edge)

A burr is a sharp upright edge that is created by a cold metal machining such as punching, punching, sawing and filing.

When molding and forging, other types of blackberries arise because metal flows between the parts of the mold or die. Even black molds can be formed even when injection molded. Another kind of broom can arise by hitting a hammer on a chisel.

All these blackberries should be removed. This is called demolition. It is a bad practice to make this happen. The manner of demolition is determined by the shape of the workpiece and the nature of the material. Shredding can be with a file, sandpaper, a sanding tape, with an electric grinder or a crochet grinder.

A broom is also created when cutting plastic, for example from electric tubes. However, this burr is not sharp and can be removed with your fingers.
