There are two integration exams:

The integration abroad is an exam that immigrants from most countries from outside the EU must be allowed to live in the Netherlands. This applies especially to people who want to settle in the Netherlands, for example, to get married or family reunification. Immigrants-in-spe can prepare for this exam in the Netherlands during a tourist stay. This integration test was presented on February 3, 2005 by Rita Verdonk, the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Integration. The law went on March 15, 2006. An unknown number of people evaded this integration test by residing in another EU country (the Belgium route or EU route).
