Fort du Lomont

The Fort du Lomont, or officially: Fort Baraguay of Hilliers, is a defense in the French department of Doubs in the Burgundy-Franche-Comté region. The fort is part of the Fortifications de l'Est. It is located in the Lomont Massif, near the municipalities of Chamesol, Montécheroux and Pierrefontaine-lès-Blamont.

It was built between 1875 and 1878 and is part of the Séré de Rivières system and more specifically of the môle défensif du Lomont. This system was first used during the First World War. Fort du Lomont 47° 21′ 36″ NB, 6° 49′ 42″ OL
