Jubilee Medal of Suesoehoenan Prabhu Sri Paku Buwana X at his 25th Anniversary Jubilee

The Jubilee Medal of Soesoehoenan Prabhu Sri Paku Buwana X at his 25th Anniversary Anniversary on January 3, 1929 is a distinction of the self-governing Javanese sovereignty of Soerakarta.

On 3 January 1929, Soerakoena of Soerakarta, Pakoe Boewono X celebrated its 25th anniversary celebration. This jubilee was celebrated with great splendor and the Suesoehoenan made gold, silver and bronze medals for the design of the medal cutter Jac J. van Goor at the Royal Begeer in Voorschoten. The medal has a high relief. These medals were handed out to the guests. Dutch drivers and soldiers are also distinguished.

By raising medals, the Soesoehoenan followed the example of the European princes who began the portraits of portable memory medals in jubilee, marriages and coronations in the 19th century. In 1936, Suesoehoenan released a much more effective star as an Eremedaille for the occasion of the 40th Government Jubilee of Pakoe Boewono X Soesoehoenan of Soerakarta.

The front shows the portrait of the jubilant Sesoehoenan. On the backside, the monogram "PBX" is below the imperial crown of Soerakarta and on a ribbon is a Javanese text to read the data 29-11-1866 and 3-1-1929.

The medal was worn on a red ribbon with two white vertical stripes along the edge on the left chest. Ladies in the court of Soerakarta also wore the medal in this version and not on a ribbon-shaped ribbon. Also see
