Leverage (statistics)


In statistics, leverage or leverage is a term used in regression analysis and, in particular, in analysis to identify experimental points that have a greater effect on fitting; a leverage measurement method is the distance of Mahalanobis.

The leverage points are those experimental points not aligned with the fitting pattern.
