North region
Região Norte is a Portuguese Nuts II region, which consists of the districts of Braga, Bragança, Porto, Viana do Castelo and Vila Real and parts of the districts of Aveiro, Viseu and Guarda. Norte borders in the south to Região Centro, to the north and east of Spain and to the west to the Atlantic Ocean. The area of the area is 21,278 km² and the population is 3,689,173 (2011).
