Volt (official VoLt) is a British band in the field of electronic music. The two members of the band Michael Shipway and Steve Smith already had some experience in the circuit. Together they form part of the band HiFi, a pop / rock band. Because of the enormous development of electronic music and instruments (like the computer), they engage in the sampling and the sounds of the synthesizers. As a result, more and more programming was added to their music. In 2003, they found that they had to try it once, that is to say, not to much keys beforehand, but only when it comes to the moment. The first result was The Far Canal. Their music is organized at the Berlin School.
